"Top-down" game designs are based on properties and brands that already exist in pop culture. You don't have to dream up the characters, art style, or the setting, but you do have to give the fans, and the licensors, what they want. This panel will discuss the ins and outs of designing and developing such games with perspectives from gaming luminaries such as John Nee (Cryptozoic Entertainment, WildStorm), Matt Hyra (designer of Rick and Morty and DC Comics games), Jens Andersen (DC Universe Online, Star WArs: Battlefront), Flint Dille (Niantic Labs) and Barry Goldstein (psychologist, game designer). The panel will end with Shark Tank style pitches from you, the audience. So bring your prototypes and try to sell your games!
