There's no better way to practice the craft of figure drawing than to draw the real thing. But if you're into drawing superheroes, manga warriors, cartoon characters, or movie monsters, where do you find models for that? New this year at Comic-Con, Cosplay Figure Drawing gives you that rare opportunity to practice your people-drawing skills on real cosplayers in fantastic costumes from the stories you love. In this two-hour figure drawing workshop, cosplay models will strike different poses throughout the room, giving you time to sketch their facial expressions, hand gestures, and action poses. Hosted by Douglas Neff and Corey Rothermel (co-authors of Epic Win! The Geeks Guide to the Journey from Fan to Creator), Cosplay Figure Drawing will include various exercises, from one-minute burst sketches to detailed figure studies. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Bring your own art supplies.
